Sigma Chi: Alpha Lambda Chapter, University of Wisconsin

While many people think of fraternity life existing only while one is an undergraduate, Sigma Chis are Sigs for life. As such, the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Sigma Chi has an extremely active alumni base, consisting of those who have just recently graduated to those in retirement. Alpha Lambda Sigs are scattered across the country and around the globe, but will always remain bound by the strong ties of Friendship, Justice, and Learning.

The undergraduate chapter works closely with the chapter's alumni, from hosting Rush events at an alumnus' home to seeking advice from alumni advisors and House Company. Upon graduation, many Sigs begin their careers with help of other alumni through the Alpha Lambda Jobs Program. This interaction culminates during the annual chapter events for UW's Homecoming, during which hundreds of Alpha Lambda alums return to the Chapter House to meet and socialize with all of the active brothers. It is nearly impossible to list all the events, roles, and organizations in which Alpha Lambda alumni remain active in fraternal life, the reciprocity between the active and alumni brothers truly makes Sigma Chi different from most other fraternities in the world.
